- Padro dos Descobrimentos, or Monument to the Discoveries, is a huge waterfront building that is close to Jerónimos Monastery and Belem Tower.
- The statue of Prince Henry the Navigator as well as other illustrious Portuguese explorers was made to honor Portugal’s Age of Discoveries.
