- The Wat Traimit temple in Chinatown is well renowned for housing the world’s largest gold Buddha statue, named Phra Phuttha Maha Suwanna Patimakon.
- The statue is around 10 feet tall and weighs more than 5 tonnes.
- The figure was crafted in the refined Sukhothai manner. The image is around 900 years old and was plastered over to conceal its worth.
